Many people have d!ed of drug overdose- Ned Nwoko insists Regina must go to rehab

Senator Ned Nwoko has once again stressed that his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, must undergo rehabilitation to tackle issues of drug abuse and ensure her well-being so she can properly raise their two sons.

In a recent interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Nwoko said his insistence on rehabilitation came after receiving several “alarming” toxicology reports that showed “high levels of harmful substances in Daniels’ system.” He explained that his concern stems from love and responsibility toward their children, warning that “many persons have d!ed of drug overdose and that if anything happens to Regina, he has no idea of what he will tell their children.”

He said, “I want her alive and healthy, not just for me, but for our children. We have two young kids together, and they cannot fight for themselves, so I’m going to fight for them by safeguarding their mother. Many people have d!ed of drug overdose, and if anything happens to her now, what will I tell her children tomorrow? I have lived with this problem for eight months, and on three occasions, I had to carry her to Nizamiye Hospital unconscious from a drug overdose, you can go verify it.”

Nwoko stated that he wanted Daniels to raise their children in “a sane and healthy environment,” adding that rehabilitation would help prevent her from gaining access to drugs during her recovery period.

The senator presented toxicology results of the actress as evidence, insisting that anyone discouraging her from seeking medical treatment was “her real enemy and that of her children.” He said the reports revealed several toxic substances and dismissed the recent comments by Regina’s mother and siblings denying the drug abuse allegations as “baseless distractions.”

“That is why I am saying that everybody has to calm down and join hands to save her. But she and her mother are living in denial. If they really want to prove me wrong, let them arrange for her to visit any toxicologist of their choice. I will pay,” Nwoko added.

He further alleged that some of Daniels’ close friends and siblings, particularly her brother Sammy, had influenced her negatively and helped her access drugs, which worsened the situation.
