Daniel Bwala, who serves as Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, stated that the president has maintained regular engagement with the Nigerian public following U.S. President Donald Trump’s accusation that the Nigerian government permitted “Christian g+nocide.”
Bwala shared these views during an appearance on Prime Time, a program aired on Arise TV.
Trump recently labeled Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” and claimed he had directed the U.S. Defence Department to get ready for potential military intervention should the reported k+llings of Christians persist.
Addressing criticisms that Tinubu has not delivered a formal public speech on the matter, Bwala emphasized that the president has been actively communicating.
“If the president speaks through a tweet, is that not communication?” he said. “Issuing a statement is communication. President Tinubu speaks to Nigerians every day.”
