In a heartfelt gesture of remembrance, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, commemorated his 65th birthday by visiting the grave of his late mother, Hajiya Amina Abdussalam, for special prayers. The quiet ceremony took place in Kano and was attended by close family members, friends, and Islamic scholars.
Gwarzo described the visit as a deeply personal moment, saying it was important to honor the woman who shaped his values and guided his early life. He offered prayers for her soul and encouraged others to remember their loved ones with humility and gratitude.
“My mother remains the foundation of my values and principles. Her discipline, compassion, and faith in God have continued to guide me through every stage of my life. On this special day, I feel it is only right to begin with prayers for her soul, as a reminder of the importance of gratitude, humility, and remembrance” he said.
The deputy governor emphasized the role of faith in governance, stating that true leadership begins with compassion and accountability. He urged fellow politicians to remain grounded and to prioritize the welfare of the people.
Islamic clerics present at the ceremony recited verses from the Qur’an and offered prayers for continued wisdom and strength in Gwarzo’s public service.
